Why we exist
Restaurant and catering pricing is rarely as simple as the number on the menu. Diners face menu markups, automatic service charges that are not the same as a voluntary tip, prix-fixe minimums versus a la carte ordering, corkage and cake-cutting fees, and delivery-app platform markups that quietly raise the total. The same meal can cost very differently from one city to the next.
